We have had a team in the Mon Valley Dartball league since 1978. Men and boys from Rehoboth meet on Monday nights and play against teams fro other churches in the Mon Valley. Each night we play 3 games, with a snack after the second game. We welcome additional players at any time.
An evening of Dartball begins with a prayer. Afterwards, two teams consisting of 9-15 players from opposing Churches will play three nine-inning games. Upon completion of the 2nd games, a snack is shared between the two teams. The evening ends with handshakes, and best wishes for all.
The game is played with each team member taking their turn “at bat” in the lineup. Standing 25 feet from the pitching line, the batter must throw a wooden-bodied dart at the 4 x 4 cork dartboard until they reach base or get out. Similar to baseball, after three outs the opposing team gets their turn at bat. This continues for 9 innings per game or until one team outscores the other.
